Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the drone that records high-definition video and simulates an immersive in-flight experience. Using the drone’s HD camera and a free iOS/Android app, one can view a 720p live stream of the unit’s footage on a smartphone while operating up/down, left/right, and forward/backward movement via its remote. The drone’s four 5 1/2"-long high-efficiency propellers provide lift while its six built-in gyros enable mid-air stability for performing figure-eights and hard banks. The app also enables one to operate the drone using a smartphone and stores HD footage on a device or existing micro SD card. A smartphone slides into the included headset or controller and operates within a 100' range. A full charge of the drone’s battery provides up to 14 minutes of flight time.
