Product Story

Recalling the iconic Jaguar XK120 introduced at the London Motor Show in 1948, this ride-on electric car's faithful details include the sweeping rounded fenders, long hood, and tapered grille that were the hallmarks of the original. During a painstakingly precise four-week process, the car's metal body is hand-hammered, welded, and sanded into one solid piece, the exterior is hand painted in a rich, glossy forest green that is exclusive to Hammacher Schlemmer, and the leather steering wheel and upholstery are meticulously hand stitched. The manufacturer produces a fleet of less than 24 annually and, like its larger inspiration, this 1:5 scale version has round headlamps housed in grafted nacelles between the grille and fender, working headlights and horn, hand-crank parking brake, carpeted flooring, and a decorative, folded roof cover. Powered by an industrial-grade 24-volt electric drive motor, not the plastic motors common to lesser models, the children's roadster reaches a top speed of 4 MPH. The dashboard controls include a forward/backward switch, keyed ignition, and headlights button. The working gas and brake pedals, pneumatic tires, and ball-joint steering system ensure smooth jaunts around the neighborhood. Includes AC adapter. Our white glove delivery includes in-home assembly and removal of packing materials. Operates for 45 minutes after an 8-hour charge. Supports up to 120 lbs. Ages 4 to 6. 73" L x 30" W x 27" H. (100 lbs.)
