Product Story

These are the sunglasses worn by U.S. Army AH-64 Apache Helicopter pilots. Made by a supplier to the U.S. military for more than 30 years, the sunglasses feature the iconic aviator shape and a non-corroding nickel silver frame. The scratch- and impact-resistant lenses are made from the same distortion-free mineral glass used on watch faces, and their grey tint provides the truest perception of colors, ideal for reading maps and identifying landmarks. The non-polarized surface, recommended for helicopter and airplane pilots, is essential for deciphering dashboard instruments, which are often outfitted with antiglare filters. The glasses also block 98% of harmful UV rays. Silicone nose pads prevent slipping, and the temple tips are encased in clear plastic to provide comfort from takeoff to landing. With semi-rigid case, microfiber cloth, and maintenance kit. 5 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 1 3/4" D. (8 oz.)

I love the glasses no glare from the sun ,clear view, there lightweight there great. - M, New York
