This is the authentic mariner's cap worn by the seafarers of Brittany, the traditional hub of France's naval and fishing industry. Constructed using 90% wool, it is made in the French commune of Sainte-Pazanne, where it has been produced for the past 83 years. For centuries Breton sailors and fisherman have worn this style of cap, as much as a badge of their maritime prowess as for the protection it provides against inclement conditions. The navy cap (the color a homage to the French royal household) is trimmed with an intricate laurel band and a brocade ribbon held by fouled anchor buttons. The interior of the cap has a faux leather headband and is fully lined in polyester. Made in France. Dry clean only. Navy. Sizes (see the Determine Size tab below) S, M, L and XL.

To get the proper fit in a hat, we recommend that you measure your head to determine your proper size according to the standard hat sizing chart shown below.
- Use a good quality tape measure, such as those used for sewing, to achieve the most accurate measurement.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your head. The tape should be placed where you want the hat to rest, usually 1/8-inch to 1/2-inch above the top of your ears. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, the bottom of the tape should touch your eyebrows while positioned straight around your head. Don't pull the tape too snugly or your hat will fit that tightly.
- Once you've positioned the tape exactly where you want it, measure to the nearest one-eighth inch, or three millimeters.
- Measure your head a second and third time to ensure accuracy.
