Requiring three days to complete, each eggshell is intricately cut and carved by skilled artisans who use non-fertilized Grey Lag goose eggs from the Pearl River delta. The egg is painstakingly decorated using over 450 manmade pearls, 300 hand-strung gold acrylic beads, and 14-karat gold plated chains, then hand-painted with a colorful stained-glass angel mosaic. The egg sits atop a satin-covered base adorned with manmade pearls and 14-karat gold plated art deco feet and opens to reveal a hand-detailed seraphim, wings outstretched and playing upon a traditional harp.
