The Auto Return Live Video Camera Drone

This is the flying camera drone that sends live video to its remote from up to one quarter-mile away and automatically returns to where it took off after completing reconnaissance missions. A 2.4 GHz radio remote controls the drone, displaying live video (delivered via a 5.8 GHz video link signal) on a built-in 5 1/2" screen, and the touch of a button instructs it to return and execute a perfect landing at its takeoff point. Three flight modes enable beginner to advanced pilots to fly the drone—beginners benefit from its autonomous flight mode using an automatically generated 26'-diameter safe zone around the pilot while advanced modes enable pilots to execute sharper turns and steeper climbs and descents. A 3-axis gimbal system stabilizes its built-in 12 mp camera as the drone pitches, yaws, and rolls. With a 130° field of vision, the camera snaps pictures at 4384 x 3288 pixel resolution and records 1080p high-definition video, saving both onto an included 8 GB microSD card. The camera also removes for stabilized, handheld use with a smartphone. Two rechargeable batteries provide back-to-back 18- to 25-minute flight times from a full charge using the included AC adapter.
