This is the WWI centennial coin that commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of the Canadian Corps at the Battle of The Somme. A stunning tribute to the heroics of the Canadian troops during the 141-day battle, this .925 silver coin is genuine legal tender, struck on the 100th Anniversary date of 11/18/16, and offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The front of the coin features a profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, along with the year 2016. The reverse bears an image of the Battle of the Somme. The official legend “Battle of the Somme - 100 years” crowns the top. Presented in a tamper-proof casing and wooden display box. Limited edition. Coin 1 1/2" diam.; box 2" H x 3 1/2" W x 4 1/2" D.
