Product Story

Meticulously handcarved using decades-old methods in the small commune of Beaumont en Diois in southern France, these wooden bird calls replicate the calls of the Anas platyrhynchos, or Mallard duck, the Turdus migratorius, or American robin, and the Luscinia megarhynchos, or Nightingale. The blown duck call is made of polished boxwood; the blown robin call is made of varnished boxwood and brass; and the hand-activated nightingale call is made of varnished boxwood. All three calls come in a beech box with instructions for using the calls.
