Product Story

After rigorous testing by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute, this breadmaker was selected best for its ability to bake bread with moist, airy interiors with evenly colored and textured crust without the hard, burned exteriors common to lesser models. It baked superior, traditional sized 2 lb. loaves of white, French, and multi-grain/wheat breads because it has two kneading blades that, during the tests, ensured even mixing of ingredients, unlike all the other models that only had one kneading blade which lead to dense, heavy loaves. With a 13-hour timer that uses a pleasant beep to announce the completion of a fresh loaf, the breadmaker has eight baking cycle options, including a pre-heating mode to warm the pan, a kneading phase that stretches the gluten strands (it can also make gluten-free breads), three rising phases and three stir down phases, a baking phase, and warming phase. Options may be enabled or disabled in different combinations according to the type of bread you wish to make. With a large viewing window that allows you to watch the baking process, its durable interior houses a non-stick bread pan made of anodized aluminum, so bread will not stick to the sides or bottom. It has a quick baking cycle (requires rapid rise yeast) that produces a loaf in under two hours; also capable of making jams, cakes, meatloaves, and starting sourdough. Its LCD is easy to navigate, and you can store up to three custom bread recipes. Plugs into AC. 12" H x 17" W x 10" D. (17 lbs.)
