Product Story
This is the scooter propelled by a rider's gentle bouncing up and down on its footboard. The rear wheel attaches to the scooter using an eccentric, a mechanism similar to the kind used to drive steam locomotive wheels. The footboard's vertical motion drives the eccentric, which turns the wheel, generating forward momentum. A patented clutch disengages the eccentric at the flick of a hand lever for coasting and gliding over curbs, jumps, or down hills; the footboard will remain level, requiring no bouncing. Its 20" diameter wheels use textured rubber tires for sure grip; dual handlebar levers control front and rear disc brakes. Includes a kick stand. The sturdy steel frame supports riders up to 180 lbs. Ages 8 and up. 66" L x 26" W x 45" H. (150 lbs.)
