This is the genuine, full-size 1969 Camaro Z28 that incorporates a slot car track modeled after the legendary Watkins Glen International raceway. The classic race car retains its authentic magnesium Minilite wheels and lightweight steel body, and its blue exterior is emblazoned with original Penske and Sunoco logos. The recognizable #6 on the door, commemorates champion driver Mark Donohue, who steered the Camaro to six victories in 1969. To incorporate the two-lane track, the Camaro’s windshield, roof and seats were removed, making way for the 1/32-scale slot cars to navigate The Glen’s trademark 11 curves. The hand-carved wooden route, banked to facilitate maximum speeds, takes racers along the Back Straight, the Chute and the Boot, and its realistic details include a Valvoline billboard, quintessential Upstate New York foliage, and celebrating fans. A key fob turns the track on, while pushing on the door handle activates LEDs that illuminate the course.
