Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the wild white tuna found off the Cantabrian coast of Spain, pole and line-caught and filleted by hand, then preserved in extra virgin olive oil to reveal its exquisite taste and tenderness. Skilled Spanish fishermen pole catch the large fish one at a time with live bait during the peak summer season, using sustainable techniques that protect precious marine reserves. Unlike American-style canned tuna, the meat is then cut into large fillets which are matured for a minimum of six months in glass jars. From a legendary family-owned company in Spain renowned for over 100 years for their premium bonito tunas. Three 9 1/2-oz. jars.
