The Classic Cotton A-2 Bomber Jacket

This is the 100% cotton version of the iconic A-2 bomber jacket worn by World War II pilots. Made by Cockpit, supplier to the U.S. Air Force and Navy, the jacket is inspired by oral histories of deployed aviators asking local tailors to create tropical-weight versions of the leather A-2 to suit warmer climates, updated for lightweight, modern wear with a cotton shell that replaces the stiffness of leather, providing a comfortable, generous fit. It has snap closures on the top-entry and side pockets, an inside chest pocket, a soft goatskin collar, a zippered wind flap with brass pull, knit cuffs and waistband, and a pen pocket. The interior back lining is screen-printed with a “The Nation Salutes You” message with double U.S. flags. Cold wash only. Imported. Khaki. Generous fit.
