Product Story

This is the electric-powered version of the classic gas-powered Mini Bike that first appeared in Popular Mechanics in the 1970s to show readers how to attach a lawn mower engine to a bicycle. This update to the theme is built with a brushless 500-watt electric motor powered by a 48-volt rechargeable battery that provides a maximum speed of up to 20 mph. With a steel frame that fits riders from 5'6" to 6'2", the bike has fork suspension and rides on 20" alloy double-walled wheels and 20" x 4" tires that trounce any terrain. A 7-speed Shimano drivetrain powers the rear wheel either via the electric motor (full throttle or rider assist) or pedaling. With handcrafted leather seat, comfort grips, LED headlight, mechanical disc brakes, and more. Battery provides a 40-mile range from a five-hour charge using the included adapter. 67" L x 28" x 43" H. (66 lbs.)
