It has laminated plywood sides, 51/2" diam. plastic wheels, and a wooden steering wheel that provides simulated turning. The front wheels are slightly raised and conceal two sturdy casters inside the front chassis that rotate 360 for steering. A non-toxic metal push bar allows children to further develop balance and coordination while walking. The wide wheel base provides stability and safety for toddlers up to 50 lbs.
