This is the outdoor bamboo rocking chair reminiscent of the practical furniture used by late 18th-century British colonial settlers. Sought by Asian Paleolithic cultures for its resiliency, bamboo's renowned tensile strength surpasses steel. Kiln-dried and carbonized to remove excess moisture that plagues wood-based outdoor furniture with splitting, the bamboo used in this rocking chair provides weatherproof durability that endures humidity, sun exposure, and insects. Stout canes form the sturdy frame while select 3/4" slats form the generous 21"-wide x 22"-deep seat and seat back. The chair's rockers are curved for gentle motion while reclining. Supports up to 250 lbs. Assembly required. 38 1/2" H x 25" W x 38 1/2" D. (19 3/4 lbs.)
