This kit allows young scientists to assemble their very own telescope, microscope, and 19-piece laboratory from components contained in a single, durable carrying case that neatly organizes everything for convenient transport and storage. The telescope is made by Meade, world-renowned makers of optics, and it comes with a 40 mm dual-element lens, a 2X magnification viewfinder, two eyepieces for deep focus or wider field viewing, and a steady tabletop tripod. The microscope has 100, 400 and 900X objective lenses, rotating turret, a light, reflecting mirror, stage and clips, and a sturdy base with non-skid pad for stable viewing. The laboratory supplies include six blank and prepared slides, a petri dish, butterfly specimen, bottle of gum media, bottle of sea salts, bottle of brine shrimp eggs, bottle of eosin biological dye, color filter, eyedropper, tweezers, scalpel, spatula, cover slips, and blank labels.
