The Convertible Hooded Cardigan

This is the all-season cardigan that has a detachable hood and sleeves to convert from a hooded sweater to a vest. Ideal for travelers visiting more than one climate, this two-in-one garment has a soft 100% cotton knitted sweater exterior and cozy 100% polyester fleece lining. A front zipper seals out drafts and is concealed by four wooden toggles, which combine with the thick cable weave to evoke the heavy sweaters worn by generations of maritimers. With the hood raised, the sweater provides warmth and wind protection, while the breathable 2/20 yarn prevents overheating. On balmier days, the hood and sleeves can be unzipped and detached, creating a vest with wide armholes that slips comfortably over a shirt for layering.
