The Copenhagen Wooden Playhouse Building Set

Inspired by the wooden playhouses in Copenhagen’s most beloved playgrounds, this is the wooden playhouse kit that children build themselves. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the kit consists of 60 boards ranging from 4" to 31 1/2" long, several deck “joists” for creating a stable foundation, and two triangular roof trusses, allowing young builders to create a playhouse, a tower, or structures limited only by their imagination. Slots on both sides of the boards enable children to easily build interlocking, structurally sound buildings without any tools, nuts, or bolts while stimulating cooperative, imaginative play. Made from shimmering Baltic birch plywood, the 3/4"-thick boards are strong and durable for generations of supporting children as they climb and play in their creations. Each board is finished with safe, water-based paint and triple-coated with water-based polyurethane to protect the wood from sun exposure and rambunctious play.
