This one line phone combines the convenience of cordless phones with the sound quality and security of corded phones. This 2.4 GHz phone can be expanded to have up to four cordless handsets operate off of its base. By Siemens, the phone¿s 2.4 GHz frequency and high-speed digital voice encoding provide superior reception for clear conversations that are virtually free from interference. Employs Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology for an extremely high degree of protection from eavesdropping. Equipped with a digital answering machine that has 22 minutes of recording time, voice prompt capability, a memo function and playback controls (play, fast-forward, rewind, stop, delete). The backlit cordless handset shows caller ID* and caller ID call waiting. Lightweight handsets provide up to 4 hours of talk time and have a range of 150-feet indoors and 1,000-feet outdoors. Additional handsets may be added to the system which includes a corded base station and one cordless handset. With two AA Nickel Cadium batteries and one belt clip.
