The County Kildare Cardigan

Was $149.95 NOW $49.95

This is the zip-front cardigan from County Kildare, Ireland, a region renowned for its traditionally made woolen goods. Made by a firm whose roots can be traced back to Kate O’Shea, the first Irishwoman to commercially sell her handknit garments in 1856, the cardigan is crafted from 100% Merino wool that imparts a luxurious hand to the touch and superior warmth to its wearer. Highly prized for centuries, the Merino wool used in this cardigan yields fine, long fibers that provide exceptional, natural insulation without the bulk of lesser wools while wicking away moisture that keeps its wearer warm in winter and cool in the summer. A jacquard pattern across the arms and chest adds contemporary style while a traditional cable pattern symbolizes the fisherman’s ropes—an homage to a rural maritime lifestyle. Oatmeal or Cormorant. Men’s sizes M, L, or XL. (1 1/2 lbs.)
