Product Story
This is the hobby kit that introduces children to electrical concepts as they build a fully functional FM radio. Using no solder, children attach transistors, capacitors and resistors to a circuit board following traditional schematics and step-by-step instructions. Thanks to the kit's color-coded wires, spring terminals, and clearly labeled circuit board, budding engineers can successfully complete the project in an afternoon. The completed radio receives FM signals from 88MHz to 108MHz and plays audio through an integral speaker. Includes a rubber antenna, tuning knob, and volume control knob. Operates on 2 AA batteries (not included) or a hand-crank dynamo. Long-nosed pliers and a small wire cutter required for assembly. Ages 10 and up. 3" H x 8 3/4" W x 7" L. (2 1/4 lbs.)
