The Electric Violin

Was $399.95 NOW $199.95

This is the solid-body electric violin that produces rich tone from a built-in piezo pickup. Only available from Hammacher Schlemmer, and made from solid hardwood into a twin cutaway design that provides the same standard dimensions as a traditional instrument, the violin has a rosewood bridge that works in concert with the built-in piezo pickup to yield warm, natural tones when plugged into your preferred amplifier. The ebony fingerboard, fittings, tuner, and horsehair bow (and rosin cake) provide the feel of a professional violin while the composite tailpiece provides easy tuning for novices. Its lower bout accepts a standard shoulder rest and the violin is strung with D’Addario Prelude steel strings. The body has built-in volume and tone knobs, twin 1/8" line-in/out jacks that accept most media players so you can play along with your favorite music. It also includes a standard 1/4" headphone jack and headphones for silent practice. Includes lightweight case. 23 1/2" L x 8 1/4" W x 3" H. (5 lbs.)
