It has three humidistat levels and three power settings for optimal control. At night, its lowest setting produces only 41 decibels of noise. When its generous 6-liter tank fills, the unit shuts off and sounds an indicator alarm (its magnetic float provides accurate water level reading, unlike lesser mechanical floats rendered ineffective by mineral deposits). You can also add a hose (not included) to divert collected water to a drain for continuous operation in a basement. Unlike some dehumidifiers that overwork the compressor by accruing a thick housing of ice, this unit's automatic defrost function ensures continued, reliable operation in temperatures as low as 36° F.
