This is the authentic 16-pocket vest worn by foreign news correspondents to keep essential gear organized and accessible while on assignment in far-flung locales. Eliminating the need for extra hip- or backpacks, the vest includes a strong gusseted back pocket that holds a 14" laptop, while a cell phone, tape recorder, camera, and accompanying chargers can be carried in the four deep front pockets, all of which close with hook-and-loop fasteners. Four additional zippered pockets on the front keep essentials like notes, maps, pens, and memory cards handy, and the vest interior conceals five more roomy pockets for storing a passport, wallet and other valuables securely. Made from rugged 65% polyester/35% cotton fabric, the all-weather zippered garment has hand-warming pockets, a concealed hood in the collar, a mesh panel that provides ventilation, and a UPF rating of 50+ (the highest attainable) for its ability to block 98% of the sun's harmful rays. Extra equipment can be attached to the vest's four stainless steel D-rings or secured under the epaulets, and padding along the shoulders offers comfort while hauling gear between assignments.
