Product Story
This is the first version of the classic Mancala strategy game to accommodate up to four players. Mancala games can be traced back more than 13 centuries to archaeological sites in Ethiopia and Eritrea. Gameplay is based on "sowing" stones like seeds, one at a time, into a series of holes until strategically capturing an opponent's stones. The rules are similar in this four-player version, however, when a player places their final stone in an empty pit on their own side, they capture stones from each corresponding pit around the board. Hardwood board folds in half for easy storage; includes 96 colored glass "stones." Ages 6 and up. 3/4" H x 16" W x 16" L. (4 lbs.)
