Its curved blade has teeth on one side to help scrape rough coatings from mushroom stems and a stiff boar bristle brush built into the flared fishtail end of its beechwood handle for brushing off soil from stems and caps. Its 12C27 modified stainless steel blade requires no spring when unfolded from the handle; it has a locking collar that holds the blade in-place when the knife is open, providing a low-maintenance, durable foraging companion.
