The Fromager's Cheese Grotto

Modeled after centuries-old European tradition, this is the device that holds up to 6 lbs. of cheese without the need to unwrap/re-wrap each block after use. The framed, glass-paneled pull-down drawer opens to reveal two removable shelves, and the adjustable back panel provides ventilation for curing and ripening appropriate cheeses. The bottom handcrafted clay brick and vaulted ceiling provide both humidity and condensation control. Handmade from resilient, durable bamboo that promotes a healthy environment for cheese microbes thanks to its porous, unfinished surface. It can be placed on a countertop or in a cellar at a warmer temperature (45 to 69 F) for effective short-term cheese storage. It can also be placed in a medium to large refrigerator for long-term storage.
