This is the gentleman's jacket knit from the exquisite wool of Irish blackface sheep. This hardy breed grazes among the unforgiving County Kerry mountains and yields a short, fine wool known for its durability, weather-resistance, and warmth. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the jacket is fortified with 30% polyester to resist shrinking and pilling, yet retains a soft hand thanks to a brushed nap and smooth finish. Semi-tailored for a relaxed, comfortable fit, it has a double-breasted design similar to a peacoat and fastens closed with eight buttons.
