This is the gentleman's coat made from genuine natural shearling, which is warmer than down but without the bulk, yielding the ideal garment for braving the cold from fall through spring. The coat is made in the U.S. by the largest exporter of lambskins on the East Coast, whose experienced artisans carefully select only the finest quality hides from American or Spanish merino sheep. The 3/4-length coat extends a generous 35" from the top of the collar to the hem and has an elegant look yet still allows for easy movement. The soft lamb's fur lining insulates without overheating, and the water-resistant sheepskin leather exterior is tanned with environmentally friendly vegetable dyes that preserve and protect while highlighting each hide's unique grain. Impenetrable to gusts, the coat has a windflap behind its double barrier of zipper and button closures, and its lamb fur-trimmed hood can be cinched closed or removed in warmer weather. Two welt pockets keep hands cozy, two deep patch pockets hold keys, a cell phone and other essentials, and an interior pocket keeps valuables safe. Clean by leather specialist only. Brown.
