Made in County Donegal, this is the traditional wool sweater worn by the rugged Gaelic-speaking fishermen who ply the coastal waters of the Emerald Isle. Imported exclusively by Hammacher Schlemmer, this pullover sweater is made with a 80% Merino/20% Alpaca blend that combine centuries-old design with modern styling. The sweater’s moss stitch alludes to the carrageen moss which lines the stone walls of the Aran islands, and its rich color evokes the serene seaside of Kilcar in northwestern Ireland. Knit with impeccable attention to detail, its fine tailoring ensures a comfortable fit, and it is finished with rib knit cuffs and hem. The collar provides added warmth whether walking into an unexpected gale or while reading in a drafty corner. Men’s sizes Medium or Large. (1 lb.)
