This is the linen shirt made in County Cork, Ireland, that faithfully reproduces the traditional collarless style first worn two centuries ago by the country's farmers. Romantically known as "grandfather" shirts as an homage to a hardworking ancestral Irish agrarian spirit, these shirts had no collars because the farmers who wore them had no need of neckties, providing a greater freedom of movement when working afield. Made from a 55% linen/45% cotton blend, this shirt provides the breathability, comfort, and light weight of both fabrics. Its roomy sleeves and generously sized fit enables freedom of movement while lounging or traveling. Natural. Sizes S (34-36). (1 lb.)
