The Genuine Red Cedar Shoe Rack

Made from solid Juniperus virginiana, a species of juniper renowned for its durability and resistance to insects, this cedar shoe rack holds nine pairs of shoes and absorbs moisture into the pores of the wood to eliminate musty odors and releases a fresh cedar aroma produced by the wood's natural oils. Also known as Eastern Red Aromatic Cedar, this fined-grained, brownish red heartwood was used to build rot-resistant fence posts to mark tribal hunting territories by Lakota Native tribes in the Great Plains. The cedar's scent is renewed by lightly rubbing the wood with sandpaper to open the cedar's pores, ensuring years of natural cedar aroma.
