This is the genuine shearling vest modeled after the bomber jackets worn by World War I aviators. Designed by a fifth-generation family firm that was founded by an army veteran, the rugged sheepskin leather exterior and plush interior is warm enough to protect against a cold slipstream in an open-cockpit. Tanned and tailored by British craftsmen, the durable shearling is more insulating than down without the attendant bulk, so it is an ideal fabric for active outdoor activities from fall through spring. The collar is lined with thick fleece for an additional barrier against wind and heat loss, while the vest's relaxed fit and wide armholes make it easy to slip over a flannel shirt or sweater.
