The Genuine USAF Thunderbirds Chronograph

This is the watch designed to the specifications outlined by the U.S. Air Force's Air Demonstration Squadron--The Thunderbirds--famous since 1953 for demonstrating precise air maneuvers to audiences worldwide. The watch uses a precise analog quartz chronograph and has three sub-faces: a 1/20th-of-a-second face, 60-minute face, and a 12-hour accumulated and elapsed time face, in addition to the distinctive emblem of the squadron. A tachymeter inscribed into the bezel ratchets into position, enabling precise calculation of speed, distance, and fuel consumption. The illuminated hands and numbers clearly show the time in dark conditions. It has an arrow to clearly indicate if the alarm is set. The stainless-steel tri-fold band attaches and detaches easily with a button. Sturdy spring pushers on the crown are precisely calibrated to yield to the touch of a finger for exacting military standards, so there is no flubbing when needing to synchronize watches, set a countdown timer, or start or stop the stopwatch.
