The tradition with these bowls began during Tudor England, and the consumption of the dessert has become synonymous with tennis tournaments as well as the beginning of summer, when English strawberries are at their peak. Made in Europe from a high-quality soda-lime-silica matrix by an English concern whose glassware mastery dates back to 1842, each 8 1/2-oz. bowl serves the classic fruit-and-dairy pairing, sundaes, or trifles.
