This is the boatswain’s call made by a London-based company that have supplied navies around the world, including Her Majesty’s United Kingdom Royal Navy since 1973. Recalling the days of sail when orders aboard ship were delivered via a high-pitched whistle—also known as a “bosun’s call”— it was historically used to issue commands to a crew when high winds made it impossible to hear the human voice.
