Designed in 1968 by Danish artist Hans Gustav Ehrenreich during a turbulent time in world events, its built-in spring creates the semblance of a friendly smile that complements its button nose and bulbous, smiling face. The hoptimist’s simple operation requires only a gentle downward nudge and release to set it hopping quietly forward into motion on padded felt feet with the exuberance of one only focused on the possible and the positive. 5 1/4" H x 4" Diam.
