Product Story

This is the deerskin compact mirror made with a layered decorative lacquer that originates from a 16th century Japanese technique once used to fortify Samurai armor—Inden-Ya. The mirror's exterior case is individually hand-crafted of supple deerskin by skilled Japanese artisans. Then, incorporating traditional methods dating back to 1582, the lacquer is embossed onto the leather for a waterproof finish that provides protection from the wear-and-tear of daily use. From a 400 year-old Japanese company internationally famed for its high-quality bags and wallets. Clean with a dry cloth. Imported. Black. 3" L x 2 1/4" W x 1/4" D.
