This is the blanket that employs the same technology utilized in U.S. Military uniforms to repel mosquitos, ticks, flies, and fleas. Permethrin—a proprietary synthetic insecticide recommended by the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for use on apparel— is bonded to the fabric fibers to provide odorless protection against insects. The lightweight 100% polyester blanket is EPA-registered and appropriate for use by the entire family with no restrictions for use. Place the soft lightweight shield over grass as a barrier or wear it as a throw as defense against mosquitos that may carry dangerous insect-borne illnesses such as the Zika virus, West Nile virus, and Lyme disease as well as the discomfort of itchy welts.
