Similar to technology used in high-end salons, this is the light-based system that removes unwanted hair and prevents regrowth for up to six months. The unit's xenon lamp emits pulses of light that are absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle where it is converted into heat. The heat disables the hair's growth mechanism, causing the unwanted hair to fall out and preventing new hair from emerging. Intended for use only on light to medium skin color and naturally black or brown hair, the device was clinically tested by medical professionals and participants had 47.8% fewer hairs six months after just three treatments. About the size of an electric shaver, the device glides easily along the skin and fits into tight areas along the underarms and thighs.
