Product Story

This is the singing water can that pays homage to the sprinkling pots of the middle ages. Used during the 5th-15th centuries, sprinkling pots were used to reduce airborne dust by dampening indoor and outdoor surfaces. Handcrafted in France, this modern terracotta version has a top opening that “sings” when immersed in water and a perforated bottom for showering plants and flower beds. The release of water is controlled via vacuum pressure by covering/uncovering the top hole with a thumb. Holds 13 1/2 oz. Venetian Red. 9 1/2" H x 4 3/4" Diam. (1 1/2 lbs.)
