The cap is EPA-registered and helps to prevent insect-borne illnesses such as the Zika virus, West Nile virus, and Lyme disease, as well as the discomfort of welts. Unlike repellent sprays that must be constantly reapplied, the cap provides continuous protection against insects without DEET or fragrances.
