This is the fireplace grate that generates more than twice the heat output of a horizontal model with only half the wood and none of the smoke. Crafted in the U.S. from MIG-welded 3/4" solid steel into a vertically oriented, V-shaped design, the grate uses gravity to slowly feed wood into the fire for optimal combustion efficiency and enables the radiant heat emitted by embers—the hottest part of a fire—to project outward into one’s living space. Placed against the back wall of a fireplace, the grate aims smoke directly up the chimney without the constant fire tending common to conventional grates that place flame and smoke near the mouth of a fireplace. 12" H x 11" D.
