The Multi-User 2.4 GHz Cordless Phone System

Supporting up to two lines, this system allows you to place up to 8 cordless handsets throughout your home or office, all operating off the corded desk station and a standard phone jack. Unlike other cordless products, up to four of the cordless handsets may be used simultaneously. Engineered by Siemens, the system's 2.4GHz frequency and high-speed digital voice encoding provide reception that is superior to other cordless technologies, letting you enjoy conversations that are virtually free from interference with increased clarity. The system also employs frequency hopping spread spectrum technology for an extremely high degree of call privacy and protection from eavesdropping. A large LCD panel on the desk station and backlit cordless handset show caller ID* and caller ID call waiting* information (both name and number) and allow convenient access to system features. Calls may be conferenced, transferred between handsets and you can talk from one handset to another (each handset can be assigned a user name for internal identification and given a different ring pattern). The intercom and paging functions operate between handset and base or handset to handset. The system is equipped with a digital answering machine that can answer separately for each line, has 26 minutes of recording time and up to five outgoing messages. In addition, the base has a digital duplex speakerphone. This versatile system can also be used as a room monitor, triggering an intercom call to a stored number when a pre-specified sound level reaches the handset's microphone. Lightweight handsets have internal antenna for ease of carrying (or wearing on a belt). Handsets provide up to 4 hours of talk time.
