The National Geographic Pedestal Globe

Endorsed by the National Geographic Society, this is the 12" globe that has the most up-to-date cartography representing 3,500 current place names, including continents, countries, cities, bodies of water, bathymetric ocean data, and country boundaries. The globe is angled to represent the Earths relative tilt to its orbital path around the sun and attaches to an aluminum meridian with delineated intervals of 10 of longitude. The meridian mounts to a solid poplar stand and pedestal with a walnut finish. Each globe comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from the National Geographic Society. Made in the U.S. 36" H x 12" Diam.
