The Navy Seals Tritium Red Face Watch

This watch was officially selected by the U.S. Navy's special forces SEAL (Sea, Air & Land) and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) divisions for use in their underwater operations. Imported from Switzerland, it is the brightest reading watch available for low- or no-light situations and uses tritium gas micro lights (tritium is an isotope of hydrogen--the lights are also known as trasers) along its hour, minute and second hands and at each of its twelve hour indices. Unlike the luminescent materials used in other night-viewing watches, the traser lights in this watch are 100 times brighter, require no external light to charge them and run continually for up to 25 years. A ratcheting outer bezel also has a built-in traser to allow for easy timing calculations. Water-resistant to 20 atmospheres (660 feet; women's is 330 feet), the watch has a shock-resistant polymer case with stainless steel back and tempered mineral crystal cover. Swiss quartz movement. Men's comes with two interchangeable wristbands: one of black PVC, the other, a nylon web style with a built-in compass. Men's available in black or blue face (case diameter: 1 3/4"). Women's model is available with a white face (3/4" diameter) and a black PVC band.
