The New York Times Famous Front Pages
ItemProduct Story
This is the collection of 20th century historical front pages reproduced from the archives of the New York Times—some inspiring, some heartbreaking, but all memorable. The book contains more than 80 iconic moments, reprinted exactly as they first appeared in the Times, beginning with the deadly 1904 fire on the steamboat General Slocum and ending with the 1999 celebration of the new millennium. In between, readers will retrace the century’s most memorable events, from the sinking of the Titanic in 1914, to V-E Day in 1945, to Neil Armstrong’s moon walk in 1969. Each story has been digitally re-mastered in black-and-white, printed on off-white paper, and bound within pewter-gray leatherette covers. The front cover can be personalized with a recipient’s name (up to 24 characters) stamped in silver foil. Made in the U.S.A. 15" H x 12 1/2" W x 1/2" D. (4 lbs.)
