Product Story

This is the personalized book of New York Time articles that focus on aviation throughout the years. Procured from the archives of The Times, each book presents memorable highlights that span from the momentous first flight of the Wright Brothers to Charles Lindbergh, the first man to make a transatlantic flight (from New York to Paris) and land safely. The book also chronicles Amelia Earhart, the first woman to cross the Atlantic, who departed from Boston and landed in Wales and her subsequently disappearance in the Pacific, a mystery to this day. The book also covers Howard Hughes, who circled the glove twice as fast as his predecessors. Other aircrafts are covered as well, such as the Hindenberg, and later, rockets and spacecraft. The traditionally bound book displays the recipient’s name and “The New York Times History of Aviation” stamped in gold on the blue leatherette cover. Specify the recipient’s name (up to 24 characters). Each book contains approximately 80 pages printed in black and white on off-white paper. Hardcover. 15”L x 12 1/2”W x 1/2”D. (4 lbs.)
