The Night Sight Monocular

A practical tool for bird and wildlife watchers, hunters, fishers and sailors, this night vision monocular uses the latest technology to render visual information in near- and completely-dark conditions. It has high-level amplification and 3.1X image magnification for more detailed viewing of objects such as night birds, hiking trails after sunset, nighttime ocean conditions and more. The objective lens gathers light and focuses it on the photo cathode screen at the front of an electronic intensifier tube (E.I.T.) inside the casing. The resultant electrons released are accelerated to the rear of the tube where they illuminate a phosphorescent screen in monochrome green images. Lightweight and portable, the unit weighs a mere pound and is easily manipulated with one hand. To use in near-dark conditions, simply press the power button and look through the eyepiece. For complete darkness, press the IR LED button to activate an infrared flashlight which boosts the light gain of the device. The IR flashlight has a range of about 75 yards. The convenient side strap helps hold the unit snugly but comfortably against the hand for more secure gripping, and the water-resistant unit floats so it can be easily retrieved if dropped overboard.
